PAKINGTON STREET, KEW
In collaboration with Architecton and Bryce Raworth Heritage Conservation.
A thoughtful blend of heritage charm and contemporary sophistication, this project exemplifies sensitive design in one of Melbourne's most character-rich suburbs.
In collaboration with Architecon and Bryce Rayworth Heritage Conservation, this project involved the retention, restoration, and extension of an individually significant Federation era villa. The initial challenge was identifying and cataloguing the extent of original built form on-site to ensure that the significance of the heritage place is upheld, whilst brining the site into the 21st century through the introduction of a honest and distinguishable rear and side extension.
The result is a timeless residence that meets modern family needs while enhancing the character and legacy of Kew’s built environment.
